Something Wicked: Wicked Po’Boys opens in Richardson
Plan B Design (“because Plan A never works) has their hands over all kinds of cool places in Dallas. Owners Royce Ring and Alex Urrunaga are the creative design minds behind the look and feel of Smoke, Bolsa, Bolsa Mercado, Velvet Taco, Whiskey Cake… and now, they’ve helped with Wicked Po’Boys, which opens Wednesday, June 27, at 1811 N. Greenville Road in Richardson. (UPDATE: Gin Braverman, of Gindesigns in Houston, wrote to say that Gindesigns is responsible for Wicked’s interior design, and that Plan B only “did signage and graphics collateral.”)
Wicked owners Joey Le and Lan Chi Le spent their college years in New Orleans and missed their Po’Boys when they relocated to Dallas.
“We felt that if we stayed true to the flavors of New Orleans, we would be doing something that Dallas would really embrace,” says Lan Chi Le through her spokesmodel, Lindsey Miller. “We wanted to have a genuine and honest concept that would resonate here in our own city.”
The menu looks kinda wicked: crawfish etoufee, bbq shrimp, soft shell crab, gumbo. Take a look.
