Grimaldi’s now open in Grapevine

UPDATE: The restaurant quietly opened for dinner on June 20.
Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, the coal-fired, NY-based pizza chain will open its Grapevine location on June 18, ”next week,” confirms the store manager. Three other Grimaldi’s operate in North Texas: West Village and Park Lane in Dallas and Water’s Creek in Allen. The Grapevine store is located at 1401 William D. Tate Avenue.

Yep, it opened “quietly” for dinner today, June 20.
Well, looks like their forecast was a bit too optimistic. A company spokesperson says delays will push the real opening back till “next week,” but I’m betting that’s just to keep early crowds manageable. If you want to check it out sooner, give them a call and see if they’re in a “soft opening” (ie, unpublicized) mode.
