SoCal restaurant import PS214 to open January 29, expand to Addison with PS972 this fall
Southern California burgers-and-brews interloper Public School, which differentiates its locations using the local area code (how old school!), says they’ll open their first Dallas location (PS214) on January 29, followed by an Addison (PS972) opening later this year. Located in the 3700M residential development on McKinney Avenue, the 5,000 sq ft, 200 seat restaurant promises “An Education in the Art of Food and Beer.”
“The chef-driven menu features eclectic dishes influenced by the hottest food trends…complimented by a beer list featuring local, regional and national craft beers with several handles rotated regularly,” says the press release.
“The bar features 24 craft beers with more than half of them rotating to feature seasonal and regional brews, plus artisanal cocktails and wine on tap. ‘Recess,’ (a.k.a. Happy Hour), will bring a smattering of $4, $5, $6 or $7 items such as Speck & Eggs, Parmesan Truffle Fries and Mac & Cheese paired with lower-priced beer and cocktail selections. Beer and cocktail classes will also be held every 2-3 months, for those who would like to further their education.”
Expect the Addison PS972 (14854 Montfort Avenue) to open this fall. That space will include a 2,400 square foot outdoor dining area comprised of three separate patios and overlooking the adjacent waterfront.
