Velvet Taco expanding to Austin with its globally inspired tacos

The team behind Velvet Taco has confirmed that they will open a branch of their widely acclaimed taco shop in Austin’s The Domain shopping center next year, adding to VT locations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Chicago and the just-opened VT in Houston.

Velvet Taco is best knows for its globally inspired tacos, which veer far from traditional Tex-Mex tacos with fillings such as cornmeal crusted oysters, kim chee and Cuban pork. Frozen margaritas are made from a lime sherbet base and the company uses only environmentally friendly packaging, which will go over well in the ATX.
