Cocktail Expert Sean Conner competing for Star of the Bar Title

Sean Conner, the barkeep at Whiskey Cake Kitchen in Plano, needs your help.

Conner is competing against 25 other bartenders for the title of  Star of the Bar in a contest sponsored by the National Restaurant Association. Conner is the only contestant from the Dallas area.

Six semifinalists will be selected based, in part, on who receives the most votes for a specialty cocktail made with Bacardi Rum. To vote, click here, view Connor’s video (he’s two-thirds the way down the page, making “The Cake’s Watermelon Crush”), then vote again from another computer, since it’s one vote per IP address.

Voting ends April 11. The winner will be named at the NRA’s annual meeting next month in Chicago.
