Dee Lincoln’s Bubble Bar Opens May 10
Dee Lincoln, the queen of steaks who and former co-founder of Del Frisco’s Steakhouse, is opening her second Tasting Room and Bubble Bar wine bar and lounge on May 10 in the Rosewood Court, 2101 Cedar Springs Road, in Uptown Dallas.
As at her original Bubble Bar in Cowboys Stadium (which we previewed before everyone else here), Lincoln’s freestanding lounge will dispense high-end wines and Champagnes using an automated system that allows customers to purchase wines by the ounce, so instead of buying a single, six-ounce glass of wine, you can try three two-ounce pours for the same price.
A few places use a similar system to serve wines by-the-ounce, but Lincoln will be the first to deploy an automated system designed specifically for sparkling wines.
During an early preview, Lincoln said the lounge was designed as an alternative to big-plate dining. Chef Blaine Staniford of Grace Restaurant in Ft. Worth designed a menu of small plates–Lincoln calls them bites–cured meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, crab–to pair with the wines.
The space is sexy: low-slung leather sofas, terazzo floors, zebra carpeting, Verona glass chandeliers that look like bubbles, a large patio and private rooms accessed by a spiral staircase.
