Bottle Rockets: Miner Family Vineyards to star at Grace Restaurant dinner on April 11

I love Grace restaurant, in Fort Worth, because I love that owner Adam Jones and chef Blaine Sandifer and wine director Jenny Kornblum are so completely consumed with doing food and wine dinners right.

“I want people to be blown away at our wine dinners,” Grace owner Jones told me recently. “I want them to have big pours of wine — if that’s what they want — and really good food, because I want them to come back, especially if this is their first experience at Grace.”

Once a month, Jones, Sandifer and Kornblum gussy up the back room with long tables full of wine stems and throw one of the city’s best wine dinners. This month, it’s with the folks from Miner Family Vineyards, the highly regarded Oakville winery in the heart of Napa. I know Dave Miner, the founder of the winery. I know his wines, and I know there’s not a dud in the bunch. While all their wines are terrific, it’s the Oracle that will knock you out. Wednesday, April 11, is going to be a great evening.
