Hot Date: August 10-12 – Restaurant Week Previews

Fifty-nine area restaurants are getting a jump on KRLD restaurant week. Starting Friday, August 10, you can get your first taste of the $35 prix fixe menu before the official start of Restaurant Week, Monday, August 13.

One-hundred-twenty-five North Texas restaurants are scheduled to participate. Click here for the full list.

Of course, you probably know the details by now, but here’s the background on the event, as told by event super spokesmodel Colleen Peterson:

About KRLD Restaurant Week
Dine Out at over 125 of North Texas’ hottest dining spots, Discover great food, and Give Back during the 15th Anniversary of KRLD Restaurant Week happening August 13-19.  Many participants will extend by one or even two full weeks thru Aug. 26 or even until Sept. 2.  This tasty tradition — which spotlights the area’s thriving culinary scene — features three-course prix fixe dinners priced at only $35/person (tax, tip and drinks billed separately).  For the first time in 2012, select spots (i.e. those noted with the Cadillac emblem in the list) will also offer a three-course prix fixe lunch for only $25 a person through the new Cadillac Lunch Experience sponsored by Oak Farms Dairy!  For every prix fixe meal purchased during this timeframe, participating KRLD Restaurant Week restaurants will make a donation ($7 from every dinner and $5 from each lunch) to support either the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas OR Lena Pope Home in Fort Worth.  Last year alone, diners across North Texas helped raise nearly $695,000 for the supported charity partners, and the goal is to reach $750,000 in 2012.  Reservations are needed to hold a spot.  Locate the full 2012 participant list at CBSDFW.com.
