Oscar Meyer Wienermobile in Dallas, Fort Worth This Week
Yep, the iconic Wienermobile is tooling around town through the weekend, but the thing’s too big or too something-or-other to get into Dallas proper. So you’re gonna have to make your way to a Wal-Mart in Saginaw, Mesquite, Garland, Grand Prairie, Lancaster or Fort Worth to get that special Facebook/Pinterest/Twitter shot. The damn thing is 27 feet long (that’s bigger than the hot dog at the Ballpark) and probably drips yellow mustard.
Interesting side notes: there are six Wienermobiles that tour the country, each staffed with a team of two recent college graduates. (Note to Wienermobile driver parents: hey, at least your kid has a job. And a cool handle, like “Jess Grillin” (she’s driving the Wienermobile in DFW) or “Hot Diggity Holly.” Even better: they get to close business letters with “Looking forward to meating you,” and “Franks a lot.”
