New Nick & Sam’s Grill, Coal Vines Pizza to Open March 29, Inside LOOK’s New Prestonwood Cinemas

The Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse empire continues to expand beyond the once-verboten Inner Loop boundary. “March 29 is the date we’re targeting right now,” says Samir Dhurandhar, the corporate chef of Dallas restaurants Nick & Sam’s, Nick & Sam’s Grills and Coal Vines. Two new restaurants — a Nick & Sam’s Grill and a Coal Vines — will debut March 29, inside LOOk Cinema’s new 11-screen, 1,900-seat stadium complex.

Charlie Palmer vet Scott Romano leads the steakhouse brigade. Two former Charlie Palmer vets — Taylor Kearney and Richard Blankenship — are the executive chefs at the original Nick and Sam’s Steakhouse on Maple Avenue and the Nick and Sam’s Park Cities Grill, respectively. Tommy Simpson (Nobu, Hotel ZaZa, the Mansion on Turtle Creek, AM/PM Lounge) joins the fold as the exec chef of the new LOOK-based Nick & Sam’s Grill.
