Managers and Owners Take Over Outback Steakhouses Tonight and March 11, Donating All Tips to a Good Cause
Tonight, March 4, and again March 11, are new Outback Federal Sequester Holiday for waiters and front-of-house employees.
Instead of toothy youths serving tables tonight, managers and equity partners of area Outback Steakhouses are taking over the “More Tea, Hun?” duties, donating all gratuities to the Friedrich’s Ataxia Research Alliance, an organization dedicated to accelerating research leading to treatments and a cure for Friedrich’s Ataxia.
FA is a rare, progressive and life-shortening neuromuscular disease for which there is no known treatment or cure. About one in 50,000 people in the United States will battle FA.
On both evenings, the “servers” will donate 100 percent of all tips to FARA. Additionally, each store in the Dallas area will compete to see which location can raise the most for the deserving cause.
These “FARA Nights” at Outback are held leading up to Ride Ataxia Dallas on March 23, which is part of an Outback-sponsored, nationwide series of cycling events designed to raise awareness and much-needed research funds for FA.
