Giant Knife at Knife joins giant spoon at Spoon and huge fork at Ranch Las Colinas as supersize tablewear art

Spoon at Spoon

Supersized takes on new meaning when you consider that the term now applies to dining utensils.  A few days ago, chef John Tesar completed an oversized regional place setting when he stuck a knife in Knife, his new meatery near SMU.  A year earlier, Tesar hung a spoon on the wall at Spoon, his seafood restaurant salute to all things briny. The knife and a spoon join an oversized fork planted years ago by the folks at FrontBurner Restaurants, who planted a fork in the ground at their Farm-to-Fork darling, the Ranch at Las Colinas. Can bowl, plate, glass or saucer be up next?

Have you spotted other utensils staking claim around town?
