Jack Perkins is on vacation from The Slow Bone BBQ this week. Wait till you see who will be working the serving line while he’s gone

Like the headline tease? So very BuzzFeed. So very not Jack. Know what’s very Jack? Charity fundraisers. That’s why he’s recruited some local names to work the serving line while he’s out on vacation this week.  Each of the temporary locum tenens meat slaves are donating their  “salaries” to worthy causes.

Tuesday Aug 5 – Matt McCallister, FT33 for Café Momentum, Wednesday Aug 6 – Chad Houser for Café Momentum, Thursday Aug 7 – Alice Laussade, Dallas Observer for Meat Fight/The National MS Society, Friday Aug 8 – Daniel Vaughn, Texas Monthly BBQ editor for Trinity River Mission in West Dallas, Saturday Aug 9 – Robert Wilonsky, Dallas Morning News Digital Editor with Harry Wilonsky for North Texas Food Bank.
“Come visit them from 11-1:00 daily, or until they run out of patience, while they play Jack for a Day,” writes Perkins on TSB’s Facebook page.
