Eat at San Salvaje, Mutt’s Cantina and So & So’s, do good: New program from Caprock Services donates a portion of restaurant credit card receipts to Cafe Momentum
Caprock Services, a financial services firm that provides credit card processing and capital to restaurants, has rolled out a program to benefit Cafe Momentum, the not-for-profit restaurant opening this fall that provides post-release paid internships for juvenile offenders.
“In a nutshell, when a business switches their credit card processing service over to TransAction (a platform owned by Caprock), a portion of their credit card processing fees gets donated to Café Momentum by CapRock,” writes Brad Woy, a principal in Caprock, in a note to the Hatch.
“It’s a win-win-win. The merchant (restaurant/bar) wins with guaranteed lower fees, CapRock wins because it can generate revenue to donate to Café Momentum, and CM wins with the donation. Actually the kids win; so it’s really a win for four groups.”
Current Dallas restaurants in the program include San Salvaje, Mutt’s Cantina and So & So’s. But Chad Houser, the c0-founder and director of Cafe Momentum, says the program doesn’t just apply to restaurants; any merchant can sign up with TransAction.
