Hot Date: Texas Monthly BBQ Festival tickets go on sale Friday, September 11. Here’s what you need to know to snag one.

If you’ve ever wondered what all the fuss is about at Franklin Barbecue or Snow’s BBQ in Lexington, here’s your chance to find out — in one place. Texas Monthly’s sixth annual TMBBQ Festival brings together the top pit masters in the state for an afternoon of blue skies, cold beer, live music and smoked meats on November 1 at the Long Center in downtown Austin. Twenty-three of the magazine’s 50 Best BBQ Joints have committed to attend, each serving brisket, ribs and sausage to a few thousand ticket holders.

Yep, you’ll need a ticket to attend — and they sell out fast! The good news is you’re not too late. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 11, at precisely 10 a.m. The link isn’t live yet, but you can find it here on Friday.

General admission tickets, $80. VIP tickets (grants access an hour early), $145.
