Acclaimed Heim Barbecue set to open permanent Fort Worth home on August 6
Pit masters Travis and Emma Heim have set an opening date for the first permanent location of their acclaimed Heim Barbecue: Saturday, August 6th at 11 a.m.
Formerly a mobile operation, demand for the Heim’s excellent smoked ‘cue outstripped the amount the two couple could produce from a trailer-based site, so the two began looking for a brick-and-mortar home in Fort Worth. After a few months of construction, Heim Barbecue and Catering is set to debut. The new store is located on Fort Worth’s Near Southside and will be open daily from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily except Tuesdays, when Heim will be closed.
The Heims say their BBQ may sell out each day prior to closing, but an expansive menu includes smoked chicken wings, bacon burnt ends and a burger. A cocktail bar stocked with more than 160 whiskeys and bourbons, local craft beers on tap will serve all day.
