Chef Sharon Hage plus 20 restaurants, including Uchi, Slow Bone, Knife, Ranch at Las Colinas, serving at tonight’s North Texas Food Bank “Harvest” Fundraiser
Chef Sharon Hage and twenty top DFW restaurants will help raise funds for the North Texas Food Bank’s children and senior programs tonight in a dine-around format called “Harvest.”
The event takes place at The Shed at the Dallas Farmers Market beginning at 7 p.m. A few tickets to the walk-and-snack dinner (and silent auction) are available here. One of the highlights: wines from Texas Fine Wine will be poured.
Participating restaurants include The Slow Bone, the Ranch at Las Colinas, Knife FT33, Uchi, Velvet Taco, Savor Gastropub, The Porch, Harvest, Parigi, Stocks & Bonds, Mudhen, Filament, Rex’s Seafood, Bourbon Street Drink Co., and others like Mozzarella Company, Ham I Am, Rosewood Ranches, The Ritz Carlton Dallas, Empire Bakery and The Gaylord Texan.
The North Texas Food Bank depends on donations and fundraisers like Harvest to fund important programs that include:
• Food 4 Kids – The Food 4 Kids Backpack Program is a weekend backpack meal program for chronically hungry elementary-age children.
• School Pantry – The School Pantries Program puts healthful, shelf-stable food and fresh produce into the hands of children and families once a month.
• Partner Agency Distribution – Through our Partner Agency Network, we work with more than 200 organizations, including food pantries, soup kitchen and shelters, throughout 13 North Texas counties to provide food to those in need.
• Nourishing Neighbors – The Nourishing Neighbors Senior Home Delivery Program is a new Food Bank initiative addressing hunger among the growing numbers of senior adults who are in need of hunger relief.
Attending tonight will make a positive impact in hunger relief for those who need it most.
