Doctor John Wallace, Sevy’s Grill hosting September 30 fundraiser for “Smile” cleft lip & palate mission trip

Dallas oral and maxillofacial surgeon John Wallace needs some help. Each year, the board certified medical doctor and dentist (he has both MD and DDS degrees) leads a mission trip to a less privileged country to help children with cleft lip and palate. This year, he’s asking the community to give him an assist to help kids in Bangladesh.

On September 30, Wallace and Jim “Sevy” Severson are partnering on a fundraising dinner at Sevy’s Grill. Chef Sevy will prepare a special four-course meal paired with wines. But not just any wines. These will be crazy good wines. Because Wallace is bringing the wines from his crazy-good, personal wine cellar

“I have searched my cellar and personally selected each of the wines for this paired dinner,” Wallace told the Hatch. “The wines will be served “blind” and their labels revealed at the end of each course.”

The fun (and fundraising) begins at 6 pm with Champagne, ending around 9:30.

It’s $85 per person, all-in, for the dinner.

Wallace says 100% of the cost of each ticket goes to the restaurant for the meal, while  100% of all charitable donations will go to Smile Bangladesh, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Every $300 dollars covers all the expenses related to a cleft surgery for a child in need..
