Hot Date: Grand opening of Public School 972 in Addison slated for February 27

Public School 972 plans a grand opening for their second DFW gastropub on February 27, EscapeHatch has learned. That’s  about two years after we first told you about this new location.

Public School 972 inhabits the former Mi Piaci space at 14854 Montfort Ave. in Addison. Phil Kastel will lead the kitchen, turning out craveable snackie food like tutor tots with sriracha, and fried Jidori chicken with green chili cornbread waffles. The bar offers dozens of craft beers and wines on tap. The restaurant includes a 2,400-square-foot outdoor dining area overlooking a lake.
