Like BBQ? Love ribs? Head to Riscky’s Barbeque in Fort Worth for their FREE rib eating contest July 22

knows how to throw down a real BBQ party. Step one: Have great BBQ. Step two: Serve great ribs. Step three: Give your ribs away for free.

But there’s a catch. The ribs aren’t just for free. You have to eat a whole lot of them. Because you’re gonna enter Riscky’s 11th Annual Rib Eating Contest on Saturday, July 22, at 12:30 pm.

Riscky’s Barbeque, in conjunction with Stockyards Station, will challenge barbeque enthusiasts to eat as many Riscky’s beef ribs as possible in 60 seconds. The top qualifiers will then go head-to-head for a grand prize valued at $500, a second place prize valued at $250, and a third place prize valued at $100.

The contest is designed around groups of 20 contestants. A Riscky’s spokesman tells EscapeHatch that anyone who shows up at least 15 minutes early and wants to compete will be entered.

The contest is part of celebratory events hosted by the Fort Worth Stockyards and Stockyards Station in honor of the National Day of the American Cowboy.
