Jesus Carmona and his West Dallas taco shop are headed to TV

Taco guru, restaurateur and all-around good guy Jesus Carmona sends word to Hatch HQ that he and his two-year-old Tacos Mariachi in West Dallas have been tapped for tv.

“I was contacted by Food Network and will be a part of the television show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” writes Carmona in a message to me.  “It is because of the love and support from friends like you that this is even possible and I cannot explain how grateful I am.”

I love Tacos Mariachi.

“Everything we serve is fresh,” Carmona told me when I first visited. “The pulpo comes fresh from Seafood Supply, the tortillas are made nearby, the salsas are made here, even the mole is made from scratch.”

Carmona says the Tacos Mariachi segment is slated to air on January 19 at 8 p.m.

Check him out at 602 Singleton Blvd, Dallas, 214-741-1239.
