Team behind HG Sply launches new “American-Chinese” restaurant Gung Ho tonight

HG Sply owner Elias Pope is launching a new restaurant tonight that’s billed as “American-Chinese” and featuring former Victor Tangos chef Kirstyn Brewer and former Victor Tangos barman Matt Ragan in lead roles. HG Sply veteran Mark Stone runs the ops as GM.

Called Gung Ho, the menu includes such “American-Chinese” items as pickled veggie eggrolls, won ton soup with braised bacon and shrimp dumplings, and char siu pork with steamed buns.

Gung Ho will be open for dinner and drinks until 2am 7 days a week and expects to add dim sum brunch in the coming weeks.

Gung Ho is located in the former Remedy space, which Pope closed last year.
