It seems everybody around these parts (and even around other parts of America) is searching for the tricks to turning out barbecue’s holy grail: tender, smokey, juicy beef brisket and pork ribs. If you’re among those of us on that quest, you’re in luck, because here’s your chance to learn Wayne Mueller barbecue secrets. Mueller is one of the luminaries of Texas smoked meats; he’ll be leading an intensive three-hour workshop in Dallas this weekend on how to do BBQ right. Yep, Wayne Mueller will be sharing brisket secrets.

If you don’t recognize Wayne Meuller by name, he’s the third-generation pitmaster and current owner of Louie Mueller Barbecue in Taylor, Texas, an icon of Texas BBQ that’s been low-and-slowing some of the state’s best barbecue since 1959.

This Saturday, May 19, from 12 pm till 3 pm, Mueller will cover the hows and whys of brisket and rib cookery at a workshop he’ll be teaching as the guest pitmaster at RHBQ BBQ and Beer Garden. It’s part of Dallas-based RVC Promotions’ Guest Pitmaster series.

Texas Monthly Magazine ranked Louie Mueller Barbecue as the fifth best bbq place in the state on the magazine’s most recent Top 50 Barbecue Joints in Texas list. This is a terrific opportunity to learn Wayne Mueller barbecue secrets.

During this weekend’s class, RVC says Mueller will be sharing tips on how to prepare and smoke brisket and ribs. He’ll also offer a few other tricks of the trade. Tickets also include a barbecue lunch and craft beer during the class. You can reserve your seats here.
