Dolce Rivera in the Harwood District rolls out a soft sparkling wine from Provence that you’ll want to drink this summer

It’s as close to the French Riviera as you’ll get in Dallas, which is splendid news when the temperature hits the century mark. Like  to sip cold sparkling rose and snack on housemade pastas? Dolce Rivera, the lovely Med-inspired restaurant in the Harwood District, amps up the sea and the shade with the addition of Minuty Rose to their wine cellar.

Chateau Minuty Cotes de Provence ‘M de Minuty’ is the answer to our hot, humid days, especially if you’re into Sunday Brunch on shaded patios with live music or DJs. A limited “M cuvee” edition of the Provencal sparkling wine from the south of France is now on Dolce Rivera’s list (the 2017 cuvee bottle was designed by  pop artist Ashley Mary). The sparkler is light, a little bubbly and full of soft strawberry notes, thanks to beach-ending vineyards planted with grenache and cinsault grapes. A Minuty spokesman says just 1,000 bottles are available in DFW, and a good share of them landed at Dolce Rivera. Pop by and let GM (and sommelier) Danilo DiNardo or chef Michele Scarpa, two Italy natives, tell you all about it.
