Texas star bbq joint Pecan Lodge has moved to a bigger, bolder, brasher location in Deep Ellum, throwing a grand opening party last night with plenty of ribs, brisket and Diane Mason Fourton‘s best-in-class fried chicken.

But the real hat trick is Pecan Lodge’s new draft beer– “Boss Lady” amber ale, brewed by Four Corners Brewery in Dallas— named for Diane and now sold in growlers at Pecan Lodge.

Love the name, love the brewer, love the inspiration. The new Pecan Lodge opens next Friday. Great to see celeb chefs Matthew McCallister, Jay Jerrier ,Brian C. Luscher, Chad Houser, and NYC’s Marcus Samuelson at the VIPreview .

“It was tough to move from the Farmers Market, but this new location lets us spread out, stay open for dinner, and serve beer and wine,” Justin Fourton told EscapeHatch.
