Rosewood launches its own brand of Texas Wagyu beef, which is already on some Dallas menus

Whoa! Caroline Rose Hunt, the former owner of Rosewood Hotels (which includes the Mansion on Turtle Creek), is in the cattle bidness. Turns out her Rosewood Ranches, a group of ranches stretching across Ellis, Henderson, Kaufman and Navarro counties, raises top quality beef cattle. She and her family business, er, ranches, have partnered with the Jackman Wagyu Beef Company to create another company, the Texas’ Jack Rose Cattle Company, to produce and market a line of Texas Wagyu cattle whose beef is sold as Rosewood Texas Raised Wagyu Beef. 

Whew. That’s why those Hunts need so many attorneys and accountants. Lots of shells to move around.

Turns out the beef has already appeared on menus around town.  Fearing’s, Neighborhood Services, Chamberlain’s Steak and Chop House and Yutaka have already featured the super prime beef on their menus. And when Caroline Rose Hunt officially launches Rosewood Texas Raised Wagyu Beef at a soiree at the Mansion on July 14, more restaurants will probably offer it, too.

No word if it will be on chef Christopher Hache’s menu in Paris.
