Houston, get ready for Back Door Chicken!

See this building? It’s about to become Houston’s first Velvet Taco.

New Wave taco darling Velvet Taco will open in Houston this June, marking the taco store’s fourth location (the original Dallas store, plus a second unit in Fort Worth and a third that opened in Chicago last fall).

The Houston VT, located at 4819 Washington Avenue, will occupy the shell of a former rickety bar.

Circle June 22 for the opening date, says John Franke, VT’s top taco, who sent the photo and rendering above from a site visit yesterday.
