CBD Provisions launching $37 family-style Sunday Suppers, plus half-off wines
CBD Provisions is launching family-style Sunday Suppers, served Sunday nights starting July 5. Each week chef Richie Blankenship will feature a different three-course menu that includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. The meals are served family style, which means large plates arrive at the table and everybody helps themselves. CBD’s spokesman says a meal example is Charred Romaine Caesar Salad with smoked tomatoes, croutons, and aged gouda; then an entrée of Gulf Fish Fry with sweet pepper hush puppies, tartar sauce, and braised okra; and for dessert, a Coconut Layer Cake. If he serves his fried rooster, then I’m definitely in.
Unlike my favorite Sunday Supper in town, the monthly food-and-wine dinner at Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse (last Sunday featured FRENCH and Taylor Kearney was the cook), CBD charges for extra for wines, but to soften the blow, all bottles are half-price.
CBD Provisions, 1530 Main Street, Dallas, $37 per person for the Sunday Supper, served from 5-9 pm.
