The Commissary, new resto from John Tesar, opens April 20

Former Mansion on Turtle Creek chef John Tesar will open his solo endeavor, called the Commissary, on April 20, in Dallas’ One Arts Plaza. The Commissary is a bistro serving burgers, small plates for sharing, and “chef-isnpired” food. In addition, there will be wines sold by the bottle, by the glass, and wines served “on tap,” using a system similar to the one employed at Dee Lincoln’s Tasting Room in Cowboy’s Stadium.

Tesar says the Commissary will have “a versatile, trend-forward menu with no boundaries” featuring “chef-inspired burgers, wines-on-tap and creative touches like our chef’s table and small plates. We will always have something creative and new to share with customers.”

Huh. Chef inspired food.

Anyway, the Commissary opens for dinner April 20, then starts serving lunch and dinner the following week.

Dallas blogger Brad Murano posted a nice video of the space (and Tesar) here.

One Arts Plaza, 1722 Routh Street, Dallas.
