Padma Lakshmi in town to “cook with coffee”

If you see someone who looks like Padma Lakshmi walking around Dallas today, that’s because it’s Padma Lakshmi.

Padma (we’re on a first name basis) is a Bravo starlet , but more importantly, she’s Nespresso’s “Coffee Ambassador,” which means she gets to travel around the country, sip pricey coffee and schmooze with local media, all while looking Start Trek beautiful.

While I’m going to miss tonight’s media dinner with Top Chef Padma and Top Chef Tiffany to “cook with coffee,” according to my invitation, I’ll still be thinking about Padma and java and pondering another way I can “discover how Nespresso meets the sophisticated taste of today’s coffee connoisseurs by delivering the highest-quality (sic) coffee, innovative machines and unmatched customer service.”

Here’s an idea: I could return to this hotel or this one, where I popped dozens of Nespresso pods last week. Good coffee, actually.
