Hot Date: Thurday, May 10 “Swine & Dine” Dinner at Grace Restaurant, Ft. Worth

I love Grace Restaurant. Owner Adam Jones, chef Blaine Staniford and wine director Jenny Kornblum will seduce you with the kind, caring hospitality Fort Worth is known for. There’s nothing stuffy or pretentious about Grace. Case in point: This Thursday, Grace is roasting up a Berkshire pig raised locally by JuHa Ranch and serving it for dinner. If I wasn’t already going to be here, I’d be at Grace.

What’s on the menu? Oh, just an insanely creative menu like pork rillette with pickled watermelon rind and dates stuffed with house made chorizo and fresh bacon, plus Shanghai Soup pork dumplings, trotter sausage with truffles, and a main course of porchetta with polenta, mascarpone and salsa verde–all matched with French wines.

If I were you, I’d pop an extra Lipitor just so I could eat an extra helping of dessert– maple-bacon glazed doughnuts with nutella, white chocolate and toasted coconut.

$150/person ++, and you’ll need to wrangle a seat fast: 817-877-3388.
