Cape Kidnappers Golf Course in New Zealand… WOW!
By Mike Hiller
It’s worth traveling half way around the world to play Cape Kidnappers, in Napier, on the east coast of Northern New Zealand. Golf course architect Tom Doak (who also sports design moxie at Bandon Dunes) pulled out all the stops on this cliff top ride at one of the world’s top resorts. And though it’s on the other side of the world, your ball won’t fall off the earth.
Here’s a clip of what you can expect, shot from No. 15 green. (Even on a cloudy spring day in November, the course sparkles.)
And since you’ll be changing planes in Auckland, why not sail an America’s Cup yacht while you’re there?
