Townhouse Kitchen + Bar, New Galleria Restaurant, To Open Friday

The folks behind Prime Bar, which opened recently on McKinney  Avenue, love them some Dallas. They’re swanky restaurant concept called Townhouse Kitchen + Bar opens next Friday in the old Sushi Samba space in the Dallas Galleria. Meanwhile, across from NorthPark in the Shops at Park Lane, Townhouse and Prime Bar owner Restaurant America is building another restaurant called Park Tavern, which RA says will open in February.

Last night, Townhouse opened briefly for a Cattle Barons’ preview, but that didn’t last long: the place isn’t quite ready, so Townhouse owner Restaurant America has pushed back the opening to next Friday.

“We want to be open for holiday shoppers, so Townhouse will be open for dinner next Friday,” a company spokesperson confirmed.

The company’s Web site describes Townhouse as

“Featuring warm wood-paneled walls, beautiful hardwood flooring, an alluring wine wall and floor-to-ceiling windows, this distinctively urban restaurant and wine bar provides an elegant yet casual feel, ideal for lunch, dinner or after-work cocktails. Townhouse’s uniquely designed menu offers a large selection of small plates, sandwiches, salads and entrees to suit any taste”

From a press release last month:

“Executive Chef Paul Niekrasz will show us his innate talent for preparing bold flavors and market-fresh ingredients with Townhouse’s uniquely designed menu offering a large selection of small plates, sandwiches, salads and entrees to suit any taste. Niekrasz has worked with Restaurants America for more than five years and was most recently the Executive Chef of Grillroom and One North Kitchen in Chicago, Illinois. Menu stand-outs include appetizers like the lobster roll ‘sliders’ (Hawaiian style rolls, Old Bay remoulade, crispy capers, chives and apple-celery salad) and flatbread ortolano with fontina, roasted garlic, arugula, grape tomatoes and balsamic. Specialty entrees include lemon rosemary chicken with jalapeño hash browns and broccolini, roasted pork loin (with hazelnuts, brussel sprouts and bacon, polenta and salsa verde) and Cajun rubbed New York strip (with fried onion strings, Swiss chard and tomatoes).   For those meeting colleagues or friends for after-work drinks, Townhouse will feature a selection of hand-crafted cocktails, draft beers and wines by the glass or bottle. Townhouse will also have a wonderful happy hour Monday through Friday.”
