Ryan Tedder, a certified sommelier and former wine director of Grace Restaurant in Fort Worth, was named “Texas’ Best Sommelier” in the annual Texas Sommelier Conference (TexSom) today.

Tedder competed against 21 other certified sommeliers in a competition judged by a group of ten master sommeliers and incorporated questions that tested knowledge in wine theory, blind tastings and service.

First mentioned in the June issue of 360 West Magazine, Tedder will serve as the general manager of chef Matt McCallister‘s Dallas Design District restaurant FT33, which is currently under construction and will open this fall. Super nice guy, too.
