Wow–Check out this great deal: Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse in Dallas intros $60 Sunday Supper so chefs can “show off”
I love Samir Dhurandhar and Taylor Kearney, the two top chefs at Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse. But if you’re in charge of one of the best — and busiest — restaurants in Dallas, how do you keep your team of cooks and chefs energized when your menu is built around steakhouse staples?
I think Dhurandhar and Kearney have come up with a terrific concept: a monthly “Sunday Supper,” a $60 four-course menu (including wines!) served family style around a large communal table that seats 25.
Kearney (who introduced Dallas to super-prime Ohmi beef here) and exec chef Will Larsen (super talented guy, too) say the first menu will include crispy sweetbreads, whole roasted grouper, confit beef shanks, porchetta…plus whatever else they can find to wow you. The wines are from boutique producers (you can opt for beer if you prefer).
“I want this to be affordable and fun,” Dhurandhar told the Hatch. “This will be a real informal experience, allowing my chefs to flex their muscles.” And 60 bucks for this meal is a real bargain.
Sunday Supper will be offered the last Sunday of each month, beginning October 27. Reservations are required, so you’ll need to snag one of the 25 seats early.
Dinner starts at 6:30.
