Whiskey Cake Farmers Market is Today–Meat & Greet

<strong>

Whiskey Cake Kitchen is paying it forward, back and sideways this Sunday, hosting brunch for you and me but also the vendors who supply nearly everything on the menu (like sister restaurant The Ranch in Las Colinas, most of the ingredients used in the  Whiskey Cake kitchen is locally sourced or locally grown–including the chickens, meat and veggies).

They’re calling it a Farmer’s Market, and it runs form 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday. At the market, you can mingle with the growers and farmers but also purchase herbs, honey, fresh eggs, homemade bread — and sip complimentary Bombay Sapphire Ramos cocktails created by Sean Conner, Whiskey Cake’s stud bartender.

“Local vendors are the star of the Whiskey Cake menu and we are excited to introduce them to our guests and the Plano community,” writes Randy DeWitt, CEO of Front Burner Restaurants, which operates Whiskey Cake.

“This is the first time we’ve brought all our suppliers together at once, and we are proud to celebrate them with our special brunch menu.”

Participating farmer’s market vendors are Holleman Farms of Greenville, Empire Bakery of Dallas, Round Rock Honey and Coffee Eiland.

Whiskey Cake is located at 3601 Dallas Parkway in Plano. Hours are Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight, Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to midnight.  972-993-2253
