Hot Date: Third Annual Fall Block Party at One Arts Plaza is Sunday, October 14

The weather forecast looks pretty sweet for One Arts Plaza’s Thurd Annual Fall Block Party this Sunday. From 12 pm till 4 pm. the entire plaza becomes dog- and pedestrian-friendly. Suzi Ellis, OAP’s super spokesperson, says you can expect food, cooking demos, live music from the Southland Swing Band, even a 1 pm cocktail competition between a few of the city’s top barmen (and I’ve agreed to be a judge).

Here’s your chance to get a first look at OAP newcomers The Greek and Cafe des Artistes, the two restaurants taking over the recently vacated Commissary and Screen Door spaces.

“Eighteen local food and gift vendors, such as The Feather Junkie, Kruffles Dallas, Noble Coyote Coffee Roasters, Pop Star Popsicles and Three Dog Barkery, will set up shop around the plaza for adults, kids and dogs alike,” writes Ellis.

“Paws In The City, DFW Rescue Me and Greyhound Adoption League of Texas will also be on hand featuring pet adoptions and information.  Be sure to bring your four legged friends for a Halloween Costume Contest at 3 pm!”
