Hot Date: National Ice Cream Soda Day is Thursday, June 20, and Asador is Throwing Down $5 Sodas

There’s a day for everything, but there’s only one National Ice Cream Soda Day. Who decreed Thursday, June 20, that day? Don’t know, but I like that Asador (a surprisingly good restaurant) will be celebrating it by offering $5 ice cream sodas from noon till 6 pm.

Five bucks buys you a strawberry ice cream soda with cilantro lime syrup, or a vanilla ice cream soda with maple, brown sugar and pecan syrup. Need something more therapeutic? Go for chocolate ice cream with vanilla porter beer and espresso syrup, also $5.
