Tickets to Texas Monthly’s annual BBQ Festival go on sale today!

Before you read any further, click here to snag your tickets to the Texas Monthly’s 2014 BBQ Fest, which might as well be called Christmas in September, because that’s what it is.

Twenty-five of Texas Monthly’s “Top 50” barbecue joints in the state will be serving samples of their smokey stuff. Pecan Lodge, Lockhart Smokehouse and Hutchins BBQ will all be there. So will Franklin and Snows and La Barbecue.  You’re gonna need a ticket ($80 to $145 for VIP)  to get in, and trust me, they go fast. (Last year, tickets sold out within hours.)

The annual outdoor BBQ Festival on The City Terrace at the Long Center in downtown Austin takes place September 14.
