Omni Dallas Hotel offers whiskey and wine dinners on August 21 and 24

As part of Omni Dallas Hotel’s monthly “Third Friday” event, Texas Spice at Omni Dallas Hotel will host another Salado Whiskey Dinner on August 21 at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will included honey ginger poached Texas shrimp paired with Salado Mule, glazed pork belly paired with Salado Smash, ancho coffee rubbed petite tenderloin paired with Salado Manhattan and mini State Fair funnel cake paired with Salado Neat. Cost is $55 plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required: 214-979-4529.


Then, on August 24, the hotel switches gears with a Merryvale Wine Dinner at Bob’s Steak & Chop House at Omni Dallas Hotel at 6:30 pm. René Schlatter with Marryvale Vineyards joins guests at Bob’s Steak & Chop House for a five-course dinner that includes crispy toast points with cheese and dried fruit paired with 2013 Sauvignon Blanc;  seared scallop mixed green salad paired with 2013 Chardonnay; espresso rubbed Australian lamb chop paired with 2012 Merlot; cherry wood smoked prime beef tenderloin paired with 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon; and Brûléed Grand Marnier cheesecake paired with 2012 Antiqua. Cost is $139 per person. Reservations are required — 214-652-4804.
