Celebrity Magician Penn Jillette (Penn & Teller) to headline grand opening festivities Thursday at @Nerdvana, new Frisco restaurant with food, cocktails and video games

Looking for a new hook to snag Millennials, a new Frisco restaurant is hoping video games will attract an adult crowd that’s looking for more than food and craft cocktails. And to sweeten the pot, they’re bringing in celebrity magician Penn Jillette (of Penn & Teller fame), offering half-priced cocktails and giving away some free prizes to help celebrate their grand opening this weekend.

If you thought SER was an awful name, then the name @nerdvana.food+spirits isn’t going to win you over, either.  Perhaps Penn Jillette can work his magic on you this Thursday from 7 -10 pm, when he stops by to mingle with the crowd, record his Sunday School podcast and shake hands. (Jillette is friends with @nerdvana’s owners.)

In addition to a full menu of food and drinks, @nerdvana has dozens of modern and throwback games throughout the restaurant. The restaurant plans to run additional grand opening promotions through January 28.
