Hot Date: Dallas’ Sevy’s Grill hosting Black Stallion Winery dinner on May 22

Eric Freidline, the top chef at Sevy’s Grill, sends word that he and his crew will be featuring Napa’s Black Stallion Winery at a VIP wine dinner on Monday May 22, and you’re invited. The dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. The menu looks solid: steamed buns filled with yuzu-glazed pork belly, smoked trout, antarctic sea bass with lemon and vanilla oils, venison strip steak with beef bacon and blackberries, plus a tart rhubarb cobbler for dessert. $89.95 ++. Reservations: (214)265-7389.

Eric’s food is as pretty as it is delicious, so even if you’re on a diet, you can eat with your eyes at this one.
