The annual Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival kicks off today with tacos, runs through Sunday with Burgers and BBQ events

The annual Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival returns tonight with a taco festival, picks up tomorrow with a walk-around Main Event and late night dessert smorgasbord, then takes over the weekend with breakfast and burgers on Saturday and BBQ on Sunday.

Tickets are still available for three of the events, Main Event Friday, Rise + Dine Saturday breakfast and the BBQ Pitmasters Picnic on Sunday. I’ll be one of the judges deciding the Best Burger on Saturday (come see me) and tasting my way through the barbecue on Sunday.

Here’s a snapshot of the events still available:

The Main Event (Pier 1 Imports Building, 6-9 pm Friday) will offer more than 100 wines, craft beers, and spirits, plus plenty of small bites from DFW restaurant chefs, including newcomer B&B Butchers. Tickets are $125 here: https://goo.gl/CVrUP5

Rise + Dine (Pier 1 Imports Building, 11:30 am-1:30 pm Saturday) is a walk-around brunch with Blood Marys, beer and wine. 20 chefs, biscuits, donuts, Tex-Mex. Big delicious fun. Tickets are $65 here: https://goo.gl/Bq8v1p

Pitmasters Picnic (Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork, 2-4 pm) takes bbq back outdoors (last year it was inside the stockyards). The entire Hatch staff will be there – it’s our favorite FW culinary event of the year. Come join us!
