More Dallas chefs to appear on Hell’s Kitchen, Top Chef, Cutthroat Kitchen: Katie McKowen, D.J. Quintanilla, plus John Tesar heads back to TV

The culinary tv talent pool continues to run deeper than a fracking well in these parts. Next up to make the earth shake: Katie McKowen on the upcoming season of Hell’s Kitchen. When she’s not celebrating, you’re likely to find McKowen tending bar at Stephan Pyles’ Stampede 66 or cooking at Wolfgang Puck’s 560. And we already told you that And D.J. Quintanilla, the chef of Resto Gastro Bistro, is competing on Alton Brown’s Cutthroat Kitchen. Quintanilla landed in LA yesterday and filming begins today.

Also making television waves: John Tesar. Seems Top Chef just can’t seem to get enough of him. Word on the street says he may be competing on another Top Chef spin-off later this year. (Because, really, it wouldn’t be a good week on EscapeHatch if we didn’t have some Tesar news to share here, would it?)
