Here’s a Dallas wine dinner you shouldn’t miss: Hall Wines plus a scallop s’more. Yep, that sounds crazy (and weirdly delicious)

I don’t have any idea if a “scallop s’more” is a thing or not. I don’t really care. I just know I want one. Fishmonger Jon Alexis sends word that his chef, Nick Harrison, will be serving one at a wine dinner he and Jon are hosting at their TJ’s Preston/Royal seafood restaurant on September 18. “Homemade herb cracker, chocolate mole, pickled jicama” is how they’re describing it. Also, there will be raw oysters with blood orange-rosemary granita, an Akaushi NY strip steak cooked in a cast iron skillet and dabbed with chipotle-fig jam, plus black mission fig creme brûlée. And Hall wines. Damn. For a seafood place, they’re sure pushing the envelope — and I like it.
