New name, new chef, new menu bring broad appeal to Next Bistro in Colleyville – and fancy $450 Louis XIII dinner tonight

No one celebrates new like the French, but since we aren’t in Paris, Colleyville will have to do. That’s because chef Ying Aikens and her husband Tom are celebrating the relaunch of Colleyville’s Next Bistro (ne Next Wood Fired Bistro and Wine Bar) with hefty pours of Louis XIII cognac in a $450 three-course French dinner and champagne reception tonight, Tuesday, June 13. Why the name change? Too many words, says owner Aikens.

Then next month, Next Bistro undertakes a weeklong renovation followed by the launch of new items like foie gras with roasted pears and “fall harvest cake french toast”  plus chicken fried lobster with maque choux and spinach.
