Can’t get tickets to Chefs for Farmers Sunday? We have your backup plan. A Ravenswood zinfandel wine dinner!
Yes, I know you want to attend the big Chefs for Farmers event at Lee Park on Sunday. Everybody does. But if you didn’t snag your ticket before the event sold out a few weeks ago, you’re dead out of luck.
Or are you?
Even though I’m a judge for the Big Award at Chefs for Farmers, even I can’t get you in (and I’ve had plenty of requests). But I know another event Sunday evening that may help you salve your ticketless wounds.
Hatch friend Todd Ruback, a great guy with a nose and mind for wine, is teaming up with chef David Anthony Temple Sunday night for a wine dinner starring Joel Peterson and his Ravenswood Vineyards. The all-star cast: Ravesnwood’s world-renowned zinfandel wines.
Temple is doing the cooking (duck confit, gumbo with andouille, scallops with tasso, beef filet with foie demi, flourless chocolate cake with nutella and brown butter glaze). Peterson is pouring some old vine, single vineyard sins from Ravenswood’s library.
The whole thing goes down Sunday night, November 3, at 6 p.m. at Garden Cafe. $95 plus tip.
