Capital Grille To Open on Fort Worth’s West 7th, Downtown
Hot on the heels of opening the new Capital Grille in Plano this week, the steakhouse concept’s owners clearly believe the Dallas-Fort Worth area can support yet another. Yep, Capital Grille plans to open a third area restaurant, in the Oncor Building in Ft. Worth’s trendy West 7th, downtown.
The location means Capital Grille wiill compete head-to-head with nearby Bailey’s Prime Steakhouse, and the adjacent Del Frisco’s and Ruth’s Chris.
“That’s four in the same area. Wow!” responded one prominent steakhouse veteran who’s always in-the-know.
Naturally, a spokesman for Capital Grille refused to comment, but the lease is rumored to have been inked last week and anticipates the FW CapGrille opening next May.
And look what’s on the Oncor Building’s Web site today (check out the black banner near the top):

Thanks to @FoodFortWorth for tweeting me that the Oncor Building is in downtown and is not part of the “West 7th” development.
