Outdoor music venue, dog park, ‘shake shack’ opening in Uptown
See this chunk of land in Uptown Dallas?
It’s about to become red hot.
Kyle Noonan and Josh Sepkowitz, the same guys who are opening Bowl & Barrel in mid-November, tell me they have cleared all the hurdles to open an outdoor live music venue and restaurant on a parcel of that land.
Their business partner in the venture: singer Pat Green.
Noonan and Sepkowitz are closed-lipped on the rest of the details, but the restaurant will feature a “high profile” Dallas chef, “possibly” Sharon Hage, who is crafting the menu for Bowl & Barrel. The music venue, at the northwest corner of Lemmon Avenue and Central Expressway, will seat several hundred and is slated to open in April or May.
And adjacent to their music venue: Mutts, a dog park, with an outdoor burger place modeled after NYC’s Shake Shack.
“We hope this will be an iconic project for Uptown,” Noonan told me.
For a couple of new developers and restaurateurs, these guys are already ticking all the right boxes.

Don’t know, John. Seems like North Central Expressway’s noise would be a bigger problem for nearby residents.
Wouldn’t there be a noise issue similar to what Katy Trail is experiencing now?
